Welcome to my new website

If you are new here, please allow me to be the first to welcome you to my portfolio! This website has recently had a small facelift as my practice begins to transition into freelance work. I began to contemplate my interests in expanding my creativity throughout my professional career. While this may simply be the start, I’m eager to build a library of my evolving practice.

My goal for this refresh was to connect with my audience on a more consistent basis. My shift from a hardcoded website to the absolute beast that WordPress is, has been a long process. This was entirely due to my stubbornness to let go of all of the hard word that I put into my previous website. This wasn’t a sorrow good bye, however. The constant issues and changes necessary to evolve my website to the platform I was striving for is merely transitioning into a side project to allow me to learn more without constantly breaking my site. I saw WordPress as an opportunity to efficiently achieve the framework I was striving for in a short amount of time. This will allow me to give my artistic practice the attention it needs to output more consecutive work.

This is where you come in. As a new viewer, you get to join me on this journey through the many challenges and experiences that are associated with freelance work. I plan on utilizing this platform as a sort of journal to document my time for others. I wanted to give a realistic perspective into the ever changing world of new media and how, as a creative, we must evolve as well. I started out by simply doing a favor for a friend, which turned into this desire to keep creating new and collaborating on projects. I’ll be honest, I accepted my first project without an exact idea of how to accomplish it. This was more of a built up excitement to make something that challenged my skillset, which turned out to be exactly what I needed to motivate me to create something that exceeded my own expectations.

This then evolved into what your looking at now. This website is going to be a journey of sorts. It’s a place where I can be me, and challenge myself in the ways I need. As a viewer I’m looking for opportunities to connect with you and hopefully share a little bit of my world. If this is something you are interested in, please feel free to take a look around.
